What People Are Saying
“This stay far exceeded our expectations! The hospitality from Chris was unmatched and his home is beautiful! He met us on arrival, gave us a grand tour , and made us feel very welcome! The kitchen had everything needed and more, the fireplace cozy, bathroom spa-like, beds and linens comfortable, everything was great! It felt like we were visiting friends or family! We rarely saw our housemates, but when we did they were lovely too and there was plenty of room in our shared spaces. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and hope to come back ourselves!”
“This will be like your second home. This isn't your standard AirBNB. It has so much history that it would be a shame just to get a passcode to get in and never really learn about the history of the house. We were there for a wedding and it was too bad we didn't get to spend more time because the house itself you could spend forever in wandering around looking at all the details and history. Other than the wedding my daughter and son in law only had time to go to a couple local bars that Chris suggested and they LOVED!”
“Everything was wonderfull! A very beautifully restored house. The house is great and just a short walk to downtown Ellsworth. Chris was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend to couples and families!”
“Beautiful and historic house from the 1800s. Host made us so comfortable and felt just like at-home. Lots of hiking trails and not enough time to do it all. Have to come back and stay here.”
“We loved our stay at this historic Ellsworth home. [The hosts] gave us great recommendations— Acadia, Schoodic, restaurants, and even suggested things we could do on our drive to and from the airport in Portland. We enjoyed learning the history of the home and loved relaxing in the amazing jacuzzi tub after a intense day of hiking and exploring. Additionally, we used the cooler, picnic blanket, washing machine and dryer, ironed clothes, and my husband spent some unexpected time working remotely. Would definitely stay here again!”
“A well loved redone 1800’s home. The details and finishing are done to perfection. so many original features. Beautiful antiques. just stunning! Close to Acadia National Park and other sights. We are so glad we chose his home for our 3 nights in the area!”
